I’m assuming it was totally accidental and was not the intended way it was to finish. I don’t see a reason they would have ended the match like that. However with it being so clear that Ortons shoulder wasn’t on the mat, they had to come up with something.
Pretty much. Big fuck up, not intentional, but a big enough stink got raised on twitter/reddit/etc that they couldn’t just gloss over it without any mention. A rematch in a while where Gunther decisively wins hurts no one as long as they both put on a good show (and they will given last night).
