(and 🏴☠️🦜 ofc)
$94~ to be able to watch all of it… TKO basically rolled out the old UFC pricing in WWE, and then fixed the UFC pricing model with their Paramount+ deal? lol
It feels like a waste of limes.
I’ve been told we have too many limes, so it should balance out.
I’m at the point where I’ll get vaguely enthusiastic about wanting to watch the next Royal Rumble in about June or July, then by the time January rolls around I’ll almost certainly have forgotten completely. Either that or I’ll have it spoiled for me somewhere between the event & getting a chance to hang out with my sister to watch it, which puts us off (because 99% of the roster is now either someone we’ve never heard of, or someone we dislike). I honestly can’t remember the most recent WWE show of any kind that I saw, it might have been the Rumble Rollins won.
The Rumble is one of the few things I pay attention to still since I’ve always loved a good rumble match, even these last couple years I’ve found myself skipping through it and watching the last 5-10 mins.
Well once you’ve seen 20 of them they have to try pretty hard to get you excited. It’s just alright, let’s see what Kofi is going to do this time (or who was it before that, Johnny Nitro?), who’s the big guy who’s going to get ganged up on by 6 people then throw them all off dramatically, who’s going to have a tantrum and cheat, let’s just get these boxes checked so we can go home.
And we all know who the hoss’s getting ganged up on are at this point. Nia and Omos (in his 1 main roster match of the year lol)
That seems very unpleasant
As is watching WWE most weeks lol
If you only have Netflix for live wrestling, you can stick to the 8 bucks, I read that “live events” are never ad-free.
There’s a fun catch with CW, antenna is spotty for anyone close to another building or trees, let alone those in forests or in mountain country that also blocks the waves. Then on top of that ATSC 3.0, aka “NexGen TV,” is coming, complete with always online DRM… antenna is likely not going to be worthwhile for the majority of people if the ATSC 1.0 to 3.0 gets the FCC’s approval to fully transition in 2027.
Peacock will be an interesting business to watch, the agreement they announced moves the SNME exclusively to them and off network tv with 4 a year, but Network content ends at the end of 2025, and NXT is only going until March 2026, which seems like we’ll be seeing NXT move again in about 7 months.
meanwhile i pay 7.99 for fite and get all of aew :3
It’s been a while since I’ve used it, but does the WWE Network app still provide access to everything, inc. PLEs?
In the US, the Network died when WWE started their deal with Peacock. Internationally, Netflix started getting all of WWE’s stuff at the beginning of the year, mostly killing the Network in the process. According to Wikipedia there are still a handful of countries that have the Network due to preexisting deals, but once those are up so it the Network’s time.
