Today WWE finished their four event Germany tour in Berlin, in the same arena where they will hold the PLE next year.
The event started with Sami Zain against Dom Mysterio. Zain was super over and Dominick really thrived on the booing. Match ended in a disqualification win for Sami because of outside interference. After a two on one beatdown by Judgement Day (don’t know the name of the other guy), Jey Uso made the save and we got a tag match between Sami/Jey and Dom/Mr. irrelevant.
Next match was Raquel Rodriguez vs. Reah Ripley. Dom interfered several times and Ripley won.
Match nr. four was tag match between Imperium (Kaiser and Vinci) versus Alpha Academy. Before the start of the match, Gable dissed both of Berlins most known football/soccer teams to get some cheap heat. Kaiser was super over with the crowd and Imperium got the win.
Match nr. 5 was The Miz against Cody Rhodes. Miz got booed at every opportunity and played the crowd really well, even the Ref and the photographers got cheered while he got booed. After Cody won via Cross Rhodes, the event had a short intermission.
Match 6 was a tag match between New Day and Judgement Day for the Tag Titles. I didn’t saw much of the match cause I went to get more beer. Sorry about that.
Then it was time for the Intercontinental Championship Match. Bronson „Jonah“ Reed challenged the Ring General Gunther. Like Kaiser, Gunther was the fan favorite and his chops are loud. Really loud.
Main Event was Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Seth Rollins in the tamest street fight ever. During the match, the crowd chanted for tables, Seth got a kendo stick/shinai and threw it away. Then he got a chair and threw it away to finally bring out the table. Seth won minutes later when Nakamure went through the table. A fun main event, both guys are so good in the ring
Kaiser, Cody, Gunther and Seth hyped the upcoming Bash in Berlin PLE.
It was really a fun show and the crowd was really hot. Several times the heels got the “In die Fresse” chant, which means getting hit in your face. Yes, we Germans are pretty direct sometimes.
It really was fun and I had a good time. Will definitely try to get tickets for the PLE next year.
