depends on how much aew and scott d’amore have talked to be honest. ge probably won’t lose it since he just got it but i wonder if there could be a bigger story considering don’s history with tna and scott. maybe there will be a story of the don callis family vs josh alexander
There’s a chance something is going on behind the scenes. I don’t know Josh’s contract status, but I just can’t see AEW and TNA playing nice with the NXT deal. I’m happy to be proven wrong, or corrected on anything I don’t fully understand
His contract was extended for a year around last January give-or-take when the D’Amore thing happened, and he seemed to make his intentions semi-clear that he was out the door but would give it his all for the final extra year, so he’s likely in a couple months unless if something changes.
As for WWE: They have no say in any of this. Alexander is allowed to take outside bookings and has many times including recently. Only thing that can be done to interfere is if TNA were to suddenly have tapings this Sat/Sun and call him in for them which with 2.5mo left on a contract is a good way to fuck around and find out by having your talent sit out the rest of their time with effectively zero repercussions.
I know WWE doesn’t have a say. It was more about AEW not wanting a TNA star having their belt after that relationship soured and TNA are now in bed with AEW’s biggest competition
Alright then, so Josh isn’t winning
