Anyone know if Ublue Aurora works out of the box with a MacBook like OP has? I’ve got a 2014 MacBook Pro that I’m probably putting Linux on next year once I no longer need Mac OS.
My gaming laptop, with an Nvidia graphics card, is running Bazzite and I’ve never had any issues with it (of course, ymmv).
I’m always going to upvote a kitty pic, and I think a random kitten can improve every comment section… but why here?

No, that’s the Debian people.
It took me two hours from the moment I started popping my laptop case open to add a new SSD to first boot on Linux. And figuring out how to disable secure boot on Acer’s fancy ass BIOS was what took most of the time.
Debian is out of date. That’s it. That’s the entire joke. It’s basically this without beating on the rotting horse corpse of IE. (And this, like the IE meme, is funnier the longer it’s been since June).
I’ll fix it up in a bit, but I made it on my phone because I was in the process of re-installing Debian on my potato laptop, and it felt like blasphemy to make it on my gaming laptop (which is currently Windows only until I get another SSD for it), lol.
EDIT: fixed. Mind you, it’s still not good…
I was hoping to find something exactly like this, but I didn’t - what I used was the Debian Diversity logo from their own site.
I’ve heard that the brand new Nvidia 555 drivers actually work with Wayland. I was ready to switch my gaming laptop to Linux but I may wait a few weeks for the driver to release out of beta. (Arch users shut up, lol.)

No, sadly, it shipped with windows 8.1. Chrome OS would have at least made sense.
I mentioned this elsewhere but this hyfetch isn’t actually fair to the crapbook. I had Firefox open as well, with Lemmy as the only open tab (so it’s totally usable, who needs to do anything other than post on Lemmy?). It was actually 1.03 Gb ram consumption on the terminal after closing Firefox.
Glados the crapbook is now running bunsenlabs and it’s sitting at 745M on the desktop according to conky.
Nah, I actually really liked bunsenlabs when I tried running it live, so I’m going to install that, at least for a bit. I might try a different DE with Debian, XFCE was fine but not amazing.
It’s Bazzite on wildly impractical hardware. I had the installer on my ventoy USB and decided to try and install it on my crapbook for shits and giggles.
No, it doesn’t run well. But to be fair, I also had Firefox open on another desktop with the only open tab being Lemmy.
I once saw a webcomic many years ago with a straight couple in kink gear in front of a computer, and the guy was saying something like “You’ve been a bad girl, I’m installing Windows ME on your computer.”

So I’m currently in a full stack bootcamp (I know - it was free for me and I’m learning things even if it’s basically a scam)… why does Factorio have a json file?
