have you looked into using any alternative Linux native mp3 players? I used musicbee for a bit when I was on windows but I didnt find anything too unique about it.
SteamOS, just seeing how friendly and similar-to-windows KDE looked (and proton running all the games I cared about) gave me all the confidence I needed to install fedora and later nobara on my desktop
I had the same issue with forza for a long time. as far as I can tell, the only fix is to get an AMD GPU. I uprgaded my 1070 to 7900xtx and now forza runs like a dream. never tried those other two games though
I don’t thibk op intended to imply that new users instal a new DE on whatever distro they choose, but rather it’s clunky to explain that they should prioritize DE when choosing distro. like, imagine a new users asks what distro they should start with, I believe op is advocating we say “anything that uses KDE by default” (or gnome or xfce etc). plenty of distros have derivatives that are basically the same but use a different DE, so it’s pointless to suggest one over the other when a new user is just going to use the DE to do everything graphically anyway.
what distro are you using? I never had any issues on my nvidia build with nobara
is there a fork of grub customizer somewhere thats being maintained? that was the software I was talking about in my original comment* and unless im misreading the GitHub page for the project, the last update was 8 years ago.
*I mispoke when I said it was over 10 years out of date, it was updated in 2016.
does anyone know how to actually reorganze a grub menu? every time I try to Google it I only get results for some old software that hasnt been updated in over a decade 8 years. its a huge pain to have to select the distro I want every time just because its not first
I think there have been some small groups making their own security patches for windows 7
i found their site and in confused by this part of their intro page:
“That was how the idea started to grow in my head. After that, I began to find existing solutions in the self-hosting space with similar backup functionality and the performance level of the App-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named. I found that the current solutions mainly focus on the gallery-type application. However, I want a simple-to-use backup tool with a native mobile app that can view photos and videos efficiently.”
what is the main thing that separates immich from other “gallery-type applications”? wouldnt all comparable apps have some kind of gallery?
what are some examples of women tech centric content? I’m so entrenched in my own bubble that the only thing I can think of is maybe gaming? but even that winds up pretty male dominated afaik
