wait are there still webcams that don’t work? I’ve never used them apart from whatever was recommended for 3d printer monitoring and they worked fine.

I had an nvidia card in my possession briefly recently. when I was testing it I found distros that have a separate nvidia installer image are the way to go if you dont want to have a shit time. Converting a standard image post install is about as much of a shit task as it was back when I had a gtx 460. once its set up either way it seems mostly fine but I already had a more recent amd card and don’t want to deal with the kernel module crap. dkms has failed me a few times in the old days and I never forgave it.
I got 32 just so I could hoard more browser tabs. I have a more minimal setup on my laptop that goes with me places and any tabs I anticipate not needing for a couple weeks or more go to the desktop with more ram.
I think of things that could be meme templated sometimes when I get annoyed by any hardware or software or both, but I never feel motivated to actually make it. Actually I’ve never made any meme images at all.
Damn so jelly… fin
At the time it was one of the other options that did the same thing
The domain blacklist I was using was probably excessive then.
Using Ubuntu is a mistake to begin with.
Does this fuck up other stuff though? I used the old telemetry set before but it prevents you from signing in on Xbox account in games
Apart from the game mode update notes being hard coded to show steamos updates, bazzite is a drop in replacement that doesn’t get rid of your non flatpak packages each update. It also bundles or has easy installation options for all the recommended third party software everyone uses with the deck.
One does not simply “switch back”. Anyone that stops using Linux was never converted from M$ or A₽₱£€ in the first place, and either was briefly testing it and it didn’t work out for them, trying it under duress and it didn’t work out for them, or trying it to sound less obviously lying or decades out if date when talking it down. Real Linux users only convert others, or tell you it’s actually GNU/Linux, or make sure new users trying out Mint use Debian edition. Real Linux users would use a separate partition or computer for anything that absolutely requires windows that they are unable to part with, even though it can be a pain and windows will periodically try to replace your multi os friendly bootloader with it is own.
I almost wanted to correct you and say its dual not duel, but when I think about it windows will fight to be the only bootloader right when you think its finally behaving.
Dunno about him, but for me I forget to update it and then when I remember it can’t update because its so out of date it cant resolve something or other, and I end up having to just reinstall the latest version and jump through hoops to get the users files to show up, and then one time before as well as the most recent one that made me give up database problems occurred and I don’t know how to database.
As long as it was mint Debian then you are already family and have made a good choice.
Bazzite is good for gaming and porn
Does this let me limit what each family member can see to only what is theirs or I can trust them with? Currently I don’t have anyone else set up at all because I couldn’t prevent them from turning off the power strip for my 3d printers, or opening the garage without realizing it and getting my previous bike stolen.
My current setup is massively out of date too since the update failed one day and I haven’t been able to complete the requirements for it to work, and I’m planning to move it to a different computer anyway, but I’ve been putting it off while also hoping for this functionality to show up.
I’ll have to look in to that. I really need to look into redundancy for a lot of things actually.
This is more or less what I was hoping would be the case. I’ll be pulling down some of the drywall to run Ethernet beween floors so I won’t need to worry about wireless being slower at least. I figure I’ll just try the other blocking options and go with the one I find most pleasant.
I’m not sure how but if nobody has already done it I’ll probably try to figure it out. There are night shifters in the household so I would probably need additional hardware and run a separate testing network since any downtime at all will get the complaining going.
tbf that is the exact image I have of whoever made the original gnu+linux post without the alpine comeback
