Okay, yes. This fucking sucks and it happens all the time on Windows.

I’ve honestly not had this problem on windows since Windows 8.

All Linux people on Lemmy seem to talk about is Windows. It’s exhausting.

This is one of the first things I did a year or so ago to test chatgpt. I’ve never trusted it since. Chatgpt is fucking less than useless. The lies it tells… It’s insane.

Docker is kind of a giant mess in my experience. The trick to it is creating backup plans to recover your data when it fails. As such, I don’t really recommend it to anyone at all.

No… I’ve literally only seen this on Lemmy. I’ve never once encountered anyone in real life that does this.

Edit: and to add, people really don’t like this. I love Linux, but hate this community at this point. It’s disingenuous and I see blatant lies all the time about where I’m going to see ads in windows. I’ve yet to see any ads at all so far.

Teams is genuinely hot garbage. Outlook is actually far worse, even… The latest versions are buggy and broken.

I actually don’t like ms office any longer. I used to use Open Office, and I kind of miss it. But I see your point, businesses still use this nonsense.

I mean, I don’t have to say there are more than five, right? We all know this is hyperbole?

I just typed it into Amazon and the cheapest one is $290. It doesn’t have full array dimming, but neither does the one use. The one I use looks incredible compared to non-hdr.

I accidentally got one because I needed a good one for creative work. When I turned this on… Holy shit guys, it’s insane.

I have an HDR TV that is garbage, too. But my monitor using HDR makes games look absolutely beautiful. This was 5 years ago, too… I bet they get so much better now.

So it feels like these are all extra layers. I haven’t used Wine in years, but it was very frustrating the last time I tried it.

By comparison (don’t crucify the messenger), Windows supports it by default. This is one of the many reasons why I still game on Windows. In general, games just work. You click install and then play and you’re up and running in just a few minutes.

HDR is more important than high frame rates in many games, assuming you have a good monitor that supports it. Seriously, it’s amazing and extremely underrated.

You can get a whole sheet of tiny circle stickers for like, a dollar. I’ve used them for a decade or more now!

If any of you pure Linux guys ever get a virus that installs windows, that’s going to be the funniest shit ever.
