It’s really bad because that sort of self censoring spills into other mediums like Teams chats at work. I had a coworker message me and say “I feel like an !di0t right now”
Y censor harmless words. Aagggggggghhh.
A soup.

Cowgirl.
She came prepared, she took control and told me this was a hands off experience. I didn’t need to do anything myself. I just had sex and it was cool.
Bazzite (or any other immutable distro)
Ya probably. I’m dumb enough to type that in and just see what happens 😎
chmod 777 /directory go brrrrrrrrrrrr
ostree go brrrr
That’s a neat application of LLMs. I echo the other comments here in that I’d want final say on file changes and the ability to only enable it for certain directories.
Debian! I have a Plex server on Debian and it’s been nice and stable. I stream 4k to two tvs at my house at once. Works well.
The OS designed to prime the population into bad cyber security practices so they are more easily able to exploit and scam later on.
takes off tinfoil hat
That’s awesome that you’ve got such an old PC doing so much!
I’m using an old gaming pc. 16 gb ram and i5 9400F. Less specs than what you’re looking for but I’m running Nextcloud, Plex (@4k), Pihole, home assistant, and an entire Debian virtual machine. All of that uses 10GB of ram.
If ya want budget, you can go really far with low specs.
I use Nextcloud to hold all my personal and important files as well as my wife and I’s shared photo album. I use an old Surface laptop as a digital picture frame and have it on a random loop slideshow of our pictures album on our Nextcloud.
We use the iPhone apps to upload our photos and then it shows up on our frame. Works really well!
Why? What’s wrong with Nextcloud?
Check out LM Studio. Totally free and very nice GUI. You can do some very cool things with it. That and Kobold AI. Very simple self hosting no need for configuration either. Download and open essentially.
I love Wayland but I don’t love half my apps rendering as blurry when using my HiDPI screen. Wayland treating me good so far. I wanted to ride the poo poo on xorg train cause of Wayland’s snappiness and being modern but functionality is everything.
Big fan of Pops tiling system
Real talk what do you do? Just partition your drive for different flavours or do you just wipe your pc multiple times?
How dare you use standard display tech on any commercial laptop bought within the last 5+ years. You should be like me, vastly superior in every human way, with my old tech. I am very smart.
My sacrament is a bootable usb stick
See this is the exact sort of problem I always had with different flavours of Ubuntu. I’d always muck up my install with misconfigured shit and it would be too much time and effort to fix so I’d have to nuke the whole OS every now and then 😜
