It kind of baffles me that people are still invested in Microsoft at a corporate level considering the costs associated with it.

Im making a 3D game now, and the goal is to get it running on a gtx 660
In fairness, I thought you meant compared to other Linux installs. That lubuntu was problematic.
No, if you have no philosophical or usability issues with Windows and there’s no reason to swap to Linux. A lot of us do, however.
Perhaps it’s a use case thing, but I’m not having too much trouble with it. Granted, I’m not a server administrator, so that might affect things.
Lubuntu runs on like 500mb
The graphics drivers just update via repo in the store, like everything else, automatically.
Wibtousb is the software I used to clone my.drive to external SSD.
Sadly its paid unless you know how to sail the seven seas
I went out and bought a very cheap external SSD. Windows is not touching my physical hardware on the bare metal.
As a graphic designer, I would argue Apple’s designs are woefully behind on the times.
It was only after becoming acustom to linux that I realized how horrifically insecure executables are.
If Windows used repositories, there would be way less old folks with malware.
If you understood technology, you would explicitly know why tracking within windows is dangerous. Either way. Its not a very good look for you.
🙄🙄🙄
Flatpack really had solved packaging IMO.
Define “Normal”.
Linux is fantastic for the low end user that really needs a calculator and a web browser. It really only has pain points for people in the mid tier that don’t understand technology, but have to use it a lot for work. It’s a big old bell curve.
Honestly, Windows isn’t even that much more convenient. It’s just what people are used to.
Now that I’m used to Linux Windows makes me pull my hair out.
Honestly we are hitting the bugetary limits of what game graphics can do, for example.
A lot of new games look substantially worse than the Last of Us Part 2, which ran on ancient hardware.
