That was my pet peeve too. I installed it some years ago. Months went by, I’ve used it. Then I saw a new version came out. Okay, time to upgrade! Oh, dump the DB, delete everything, install the upgrade and load the DB back? (Or some similar shit.) And do it every time when there is an upgrade? Okay, uninstall it is.

If they were on the lemmy.ml instance, it’s in their right to do so. It’s their instance. The basic codebase, which other instances are using, has nothing to do with it.

There is no way mom would ever see my pron folder!
I had to use MacOS for 2 years after using Windows for 20. The copious amounts of energy suddenly releasing when thousands of dying stars start to explode in unison can’t compare to the deep, burning hate I feel for MacOS.
But I know there are people who like or love it. No problem with that. It’s just a personal feeling.
I don’t get what the fuck is the problem with Ubuntu anyway.
Edit: I mean I heard the reasons many times but they are completely non-issues for me.
