Don’t. Ender 3 is ancient garbage. I upgraded an ender 3 to a k1c and I’ll never go back. The only time I don’t get FLAWLESS prints is because the filament isn’t fast enough. I can print benchy in 30 minutes in the slow speed. And best of all I never have to fuck with it. Ever.
Are you familiar with WLED and ESPHome? You generally have two sets of pin outs, analog [pwm] and digital. You can hook almost anything up if you program your pin-outs to respond correctly. If you’re trying to get into programming on the ESP32, start with some Arduino programs. They both use the same C libraries.
This just makes me want to get into nix even more. Put configs in a git repo and build vms until you have the config you want, then update only when you’re doing something new. I use Arch btw. For desktop. Otherwise it’s a mix fedora, red hat, debian, Ubuntu, cent, bsd, armbien, openWRT, and a few others.
Oh interesting! I was thinking of planning in the kitchen not planning for a kitchen build. That makes WAY more sense!
And how many windows updates reset the setting??
proprietary… kitchen planners? wtf? wtf even is a kitchen planner?
That seems like the easiest thing to replace with something open source.
That’s because of the function of a server running those services. A desktop isn’t running services.
Hardening a server is not the same thing as running vulnerable operating systems.
Full time Linux engineer here!
hands are hard even for real artists.
Of course I would because I’m not a coward. If someone was to say something so patently stupid like “I can’t find a partner because I love linux,” yeah you’re gonna get called out over it.
Linux is why I’m lonely.
No, bitch, you’re why you’re lonely.
I don’t care.
I’m not. I learned a long time ago I am the source of my own happiness.
happiness and royalty are not the same thing.
The only one stopping you from having human connections is you. You’re your own barrier to happiness.
This is a semantic argument I don’t feel like getting into. I don’t give a shit what library it is – I want AMD to be able to crunch pytorch as well as nvidia.
My experience with the Deck outside of CS2 has been nothing short of mind-boggling. I don’t even REALLY have a problem with CS2 but I cannot play online for VAC reasons I can’t sort out. I have a ticket open with Steam Support. 🤷
It’s also not my problem either. I don’t give a shit what nvidia or AMD does, I just want to be able to run AI stuff on my rig in as open-source a manner as is possible.
I would consider it for like a kiosk but not a desktop I’d want to use and enjoy. Hardware support is a big one, speed of updates, lack of support release for certain software packages, ect. For example, I use PyCharm for both work and play, and there’s no native client in BSD. I haven’t even looked at the state of Docker.
Currently, Docker needs VirtualBox installed and configured.
No, gracias.
