I’m so glad I don’t care about/don’t notice audio quality. I could listen to a literal microwave oven and I’d consider it a beautiful, high fidelity song.
I don’t know what Soulseek or Freyr are (I’ll look into what they are), but you can use Seal (F-Droid) to download files using yt-dlp on Android.
You can’t spy on me through my webcam
I don’t have a webcam
i just use either zip or tar+gzip. personally, i avoid rar as it’s a proprietary format.
The ‘code’ tag here does not respect newlines,
Now there’s a newline between every single line of code
I started with NixOS and now I installed something called “Lix”
Yeah I’m deep in it to return
What? I call my computer a PC and I run Linux. My friends know I use Linux and they don’t get confused when I call my device a PC. As far as I know, “PC” refers to a personal desktop computer and does not depend on the OS.
It could just be me, but when someone says “PC” I don’t necessarily think of a Windows computer, I just think of a computer.
I’m fairly sure NixOS Unstable also has it.

i have 9 desktops in hyprland but i use a max of like 4
Watch a full screen movie while you do something on another monitor.
Just pause the movie, do the thing, and then go back to watching the movie.
oh i just like it when my computer looks good
I don’t want to publish it to git unsanitzed.
You could make a private repo and set up an SSH key to access it. For example, I have my dotfiles hosted on Codeberg but it’s a private repo so only I have access to it (although I would not recommend putting unencrypted passwords, even in a private repository)
Although I understand if you mean not publishing to GitHub as I guess there has been some controversy and it’s owned by Microsoft.

Linux is an operating system. So is Windows. Hardware is hardware.
errm, ackshually, as you said, windows and linux are both operating systems. therefore, they’re actually software, not hardware 🤓
Linux on an analog computer
I’m not getting a Moiré pattern
Please use it for at least one week, as it’s a learning experience and not meant for everyone. It took me around a week to become familiar with Nix and Flakes, but I believe it was worth it since now I have to tweak things less often and my configuration’s decently organized.
Also try out Home Manager
8GB is enough for me although I have 16GB just because I want my system in general to be a little faster while I’m gaming
