I also use this exact setup, works great!

I hope you dont use a weather integration, you of course get your weather information directly from NOAA satelites or another non-internet source.

I’d like to also add some context as a Zigbee user who has read the entire spec and started a NWK and APS implementation a while back (no I did not read the entire ZCL specs because that would be pointless, this one is for the pedants out there).

Zigbee as a protocol is not really worthy of replacement either. So on technical merits it’s frustrating to see the alternatives be made when Zigbee is just fine. I have a great experience using my Zigbee devices, and I feel like the spec behind it is pretty strong. Like most things its a bit too well-defined in some aspects, but that tends to happen.
