Steam hasn’t (afaik) revoked access from a game that someone already owns, and DRM on steam is entirely optional, even if you use the steamworks sdk. (source: I am a developer making a game using the steamworks sdk that can run without steam open or installed)
MIT license is useful for a lot of stuff that is traditionally monetized. Game development tools, for example. I don’t think a game engine could become very popular if you had to release your game’s source code for free.
Yeah, on my keyboard it’s just an icon so I forgot the actual name lol
Should be the screenshot key
Oh weird, I suppose that makes sense for debian though where the goal is to be stable rather than be up-to-date.
What web browser requires you to add a repo to install it on Linux
Don’t worry, it gets better. The whole thing is a web app.
Yeah I honestly rarely use the terminal on my mint install. And that’s even as a developer.
To be fair I initially had to do some odd tweaks at first, namely getting my keyboard function key working how I wanted. But even that was just editing some config files, and a non-power user probably wouldn’t have the kind of mechanical keyboard I have anyway.
Wow, Elon, you think it’s bad to give one company full control over something? You think someone should step in and stop them? You think closed ecosystems are bad for customers? HMMM
It’s a parody of stuff like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCRzng7LsQI
How would the distro tell if the tar.gz is a program or just a bunch of compressed files? I tend to use tar files for compression rather than for distributing or installing software

Someone else pointed out that he actually apologized for being toxic sometimes and took some time off as a kernel maintainer because of that. Nice to see.
Well the tearing fixes would definitely help.
You can use a launcher like Heroic to play games you have on gog or epic.
One thing I’ll give gnome, it’s really good for 2-in-1s. The desktop metaphor works really well for tablet and trackpad use out of the box.
I’ve seen arch gain a lot of popularity lately, at least in my circles.
