Phone makers make no money if you don’t buy new phones

Maybe they should make a new phone thats desirable then. I’m still running on a phone from 2016 because there’s no modern one that wouldn’t lose me functionality that I use all the time. Anything I buy would be a downgrade.

My only problem is trying to use it with the android app. I have to manually sync it like all the time which is a pain in the ass when I forget to do it before I go out the door and my shopping list isn’t update. That and it won’t sync files I create on the phone to the server

The issue is ads are for supporting free software. Windows is not free therefore should not be showing ads.

The closest one I’ve found to what I’m looking for in a note taking app is Obsidian. Really it kind of set the standard of what I need with how efficient it is to use. The only issue is syncing to my phone and tablet. I’m using Nextcloud and so far have only been able to get “read” access on my mobile devices. If I try to create/edit a note it gives me access errors that I haven’t found a way around. This isn’t a huge problem because I mostly reference notes on the devices anyway and am not making changes to them. Mobile note taking is typically done in my physical pocket notebook anyway.

Same. I was working on a help desk years ago helping another agent with a call where the customer was being ignorant and I sent him a message that said something like “does he want us to wipe his ass for him too?” (Not that exactly but in the context of the situation it would have been similarly insulting). Next reply I get from the other agent was “he said no”.

Being able to see it helps a lot. I can and have done it via parted. My media server doesn’t have a desktop environment installed. I just really would rather have a GUI when it’s available as an added safeguard.

Edit: I have spent a decent amount of time organizing books and comic books and that was a pretty even split between GUI and Terminal. GUI to get them in a state that I could bulk rename/move into appropriate directory with the Terminal. I assume it would be similar with pictures.
