This incident was, in fact, reported.

Steam is fine in my book. And I understand why it isn’t open source with how much it’s worth.

I hope you are running these games sandboxed and never on bare metal.

How long ago was that? I have installed Arch with archinstall on ~10 different PCs over the last 4 years without any issues. Maybe I just got lucky, though.

Arch is unironically easy.

You only need to know two commands:

archinstall

and

sudo pacman -Syu

PS: If my 60 year old mom can do it, anyone can.
