I would ditch the SD cards entirely and boot off of USB attached SATA SSDs. But your idea still sounds cool if you can’t or don’t want to invest in SSDs!
I’ve enjoyed btrfs on my laptops, definitely seems stable, and using BEES foe dedupe is rad (maybe don’t do that on an sd card tho…)
HDR and VR, that’s it. And everything that isn’t gaming happens on my Framework laptop running NixOS anyways.
oh wow, cryptostorm is still around? cool!
another day another game of whack-a-mole commenting out packages just to get a rebuild to not fail
I would but I’ll need to find a loupe to read the text of the lawsuit!
framework 16 over here, running hyprland, the only blurry fonts have been in Darktable, everything else is fine (telegram, discord, vscode, thunderbird, firefox, waybar, quodlibet, thunar, alacritty, seahorse, synology drive client…)
vrr? never met the guy!
ok cardassian
THERE ARE FIVE LIGHTS Linux
Or just go NixOS so you may continue some amount of torment
The US store only has Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro.
please share how I can configure a T14 AMD Gen 4 with “no operating system”
cuz I have never seen “no operating system” on Lenovo’s site and I’ve bought three thinkpads from them in the past four years!
Yep
Avoid Lenovo. At least, I have not had great experiences with the ThinkPad T14s AMD, both gen 1 and gen 2.
Gen 2 came with an Aetheros (sp?) bt/wifi card that would never wake up after suspend, had to get an Intel replacement, thankfully the bad one wasn’t soldered in and I could replace it.
Trackpad has glitches that had to be mitigated in the kernel - mitigated well enough that it doesn’t bother me but it’s still silly
And both gen 1 and 2 still cannot reliably wake from suspend, and experience unreasonably high battery drain while suspended
Then again that could be a problem with all modern laptops…
Gotta scrub off the .DS_Store
my worst day was a RHEL 4 server running COBOL for 911 going down because my idiot former boss didn’t RAID the system volume at all
thankfully I found a matching CentOS 4.4 image and made it work
I feel the same way when I use my turn signals. I’m not asking.
(assuming of course it’s safe to follow through)
