I had a HDD fail on my media server and that screen gives me ptsd. I could clean it up with fsck for a while, but it meant plugging a keyboard and monitor into the box. A huge PIMA, I should have swapped out that drive the first time it happened.
I have to confess. I had to look up the shortcut for terminal because I haven’t interacted with a Linux desktop in years. I’m a Windows cuck, but not a total imposter bc I’ve kept a debian server running on my network for years. Whenever something breaks or I do an update (the updates are invariably the cause of the breakage) I manage her with ssh.
This is the duality of Linux. Linux is an easy OS that’s extremely customizable and everyone should use it. But also you may have to choke out your PC to exit the text editor.
Did yall know that Notepad has tabs now? So does explorer!
The best way to interact with a Linux machine is ssh through powershell. Hate me all you want, but it’s kinda a self-own to imply that savvy Linux users don’t bother with the desktop.
