    Wow I did my electronic course final project on a z80. Didn’t think they were still around.

      I’m not surprised that the Z80 is around but I’m surprised that the DIP version is!

    It’s been more than 30 years since I had a Z80-based CP/M system of any kind. The best was a Morrow Designs IEEE696-bus system with a Z80B CPU, two DSDD half-height Tandon 8" floppy drives, a Shugart SA4000 30MB 14" HDD, and I totally forget which VDT I was using (I had several over the years of various computers). That was back when computers were the most ‘fun’.

      That Morrow sounds like the opposite end of the Z80 spectrum from the Sinclair ZX81 I started on. And my kids still use calculators with Z80s in them. Amazing how long it has endured.
